Unuahians:
I’ve received with a rude shock the passing of Agaruwa C (Zurume Gburugburu) our old boy, which event occurred in Nigeria on Saturday, November 7, 2020. As you know, Agaruwa was a mobilizing secretary for the GCUOBA Washington Chapter during the nascent years of our chapter founding. Even so, despite his gradual withdrawal to Nigeria for the past several years, Agaruwa has continued to fan and sustain his interest for the qualitative development of the GCUOBA Washington Chapter, including attending national Conventions with the chapter. Until his death, seized with institutional knowledge of the chapter’s demographic landscape, Agaruwa had continued to offer occasional, but plenipotent advice on how to extend the chapter’s frontiers, to our corporate benefit.
Agaruwa has a family in the Washington DC area comprising his wife, son, daughter and brother. Please reach out to and commiserate with them via:(301)602-4255 (Wife); (301)787-5340 (Brother).
Please watch out for the chapter’s platform requesting support for the family at this time of need.
May his soul rest in peace.
In Unum Luceant!
Ginikanwa Okedi
(Chapter President)
