Fellow Umuahians,
We are excited to let you know that we have completed the first phase of the project we undertook as a group (GCUOBA Diaspora) to execute. Thank you all for your generous support since the beginning of this effort.
The first phase of this project was the physical construction of a new dining hall structure.
The second phase of the project was equipping the dining hall to be functional before the start of school in September.
We projected the sum of $500,000 as a fundraising goal to enable us to accomplish and complete phase I & II goals. Thus far we are approximately $100,000 shy of our goal and that has created an urgent need for funds. The good news is that we have outstanding pledges to the tune of approximately $115,000.
We are pleading with all donors to kindly redeem their outstanding pledges made in good faith to this campaign. Our ability to collect all these pledges will ensure that we are able to deliver a fully functional dining hall before September reopening date.
Our 501 c3 Non-Profit status ensures that all your contributions and donations are 100% tax deductible. (Please confer with your CPA for all tax matters).
We cannot over emphasize the urgency of this, as we are a few weeks away from the school reopening.
